I haven't done one of these in a long time, but after reading Benedict Cumberbatch (see BBC's Sherlock) answers, I feel compelled to do the same ones. Oh I'm such a Cumberbitch =p
When were you happiest? After receiving the first positive review of anything I've written on LJ/FFNet. Nothing compares to the feeling of one's talent being appreciated.
What is your greatest fear? Going to hell.
What is your earliest memory? Playing hide-and-seek with my cousins, and I won by hiding in the bottom compartment of a wardrobe (I was really small then).
Which living person do you most admire, and why? Our fourth Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir. He has done so much for the country and inspired me to be more than I think I can be. I literally cried when I met him for the first time last year, and bumbled over my words. Me. BUMBLE.
What is the trait you most deplore in yourself? Over-thinking. I can imagine ten different outcomes for a given situation... but sometimes all ten will miss the mark!
What is the trait you most deplore in others? Hypocrisy. I hate people who say something but then do the opposite, and use inane reasons to justify it. DON'T.
What was your most embarrassing moment? Oh so many... walking around with torn pants and it was pointed out by one of my students... it was torn on my bum!
What makes you unhappy? Seeing my parents unhappy for whatever reason distresses me.
What do you most dislike about your appearance? My big bum. I can't seem to tone it down.
What is your guiltiest pleasure? Singing while walking/driving/doing anything. I don't have a great voice and people probably don't like it, but I really like singing!
What is your most unappealing habit? Biting my nails. I do it when I'm thinking. I could never manage to keep long nails ever since third grade.
What would be your fancy dress costume of choice? A ghost. I'd wear a full-length bedsheet with holes cut out for eyes. Imagine all the food I can squirrel away!
What is the worst thing anyone's ever said to you? A girl who came out of the blue on a forum I was on, accusing me of being "a slut who can't keep her hands off other people's property". Turns out she had PMed the wrong person *chuckle*. But if it was true, it'd be the worst thing anyone had ever said to me.
What was the best kiss of your life? Never been kissed, but I hope you're out there, whoever you are *wink*
Which words or phrases do you most overuse? I teach, and the phrase I say every three sentences is; "Do you follow what I'm saying?" The habit extends into normal conversation now.
What has been your biggest disappointment? Still single at the age of 26.
If you could edit your past, what would you change? I would not have returned to Malaysia then. I'd have stood my ground and remained in the UK.
What is the closest you've come to death? A car accident last year.
What single thing would improve the quality of your life? Better money sense.
What do you consider your greatest achievement? My students.
What keeps you awake at night? Thinking of tomorrow.
What song would you like played at your funeral? I'd rather not have a song, haha!
How would you like to be remembered? Nicely.
